Had a reservation for a Saturday night and was seated on time, the servers were great however the food did take awhile to get to our table. The wait was worth it though as the steak was cooked perfectly and the desserts were just the right amount of sweet. The ambiance of the restaurant was lively but not too loud where you can't hear the people you're with. Good food and a good dining experience!

9/7/2024 Gorgeous bay side restaurant that is great for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Location: located on the western side of the Embarcadero with Water Bar, Gap's corporate headquarters, and the Oakland Bay Bridge as neighbors. Reservations: OpenTable and walk-ins welcome. Stepping In: the restaurant itself is rustic and elegant. The main dining room comes with views of the bay. During brunch, the extended dining room with full bar opens up to the bay providing fresh air and bay views. Service: a friendly server assisted us with our brunch selection and even popped open a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. The meal: consisted of pineapple mimosas - with the champagne on ice at the bar along with - crab cake Benedict (jumbo lump crab, soft poached eggs, luscious hollandaise, and potatoes - delicious), Epic burger on house pretzel bun (my friend devoured half and took home the left overs, and enjoyed the wagyu blend patty), scrambled eggs (quite filling and hearty), and Julia Childs potatoes (creamy classic potatoes au gratin). The cocktails were divine and complimented our meal perfectly. I've heard so many great things about Epic Steak and glad to have brunched here.

Service very friendly and accommodating. Very knowledgeable about menu and drinks. He recommended almost our whole meal. Epic is a great steak house will definitely return

I had made same day reservations for 6 people on a Friday night at 8pm. Needed to put a credit card number down. Mentioned it was a birthday dinner and was surprised to get a big table in the corner over looking the Bay Bridge. Birthday girl also got a card from the restaurant and a complimentary mixed berry tart at the end of the meal. Restaurant was about 80% full. Service was okay. We got some dishes to share which all came out 25 minutes after ordering. Not bad. We had to ask for the steak sauces and the acme bread and butter which they seemed to have forgotten. For a steak restaurant, the highlights were the peach and tomato salad, truffle Mac and cheese, sweet corn ravioli, trumpet mushrooms and the desserts. The steaks were just alright but we would not order again.

We love coming to Epic Steak so when cousins from out of town came we knew we had to go here for lunch post church. I die for their blue cheese stuff olives- they are freshly stuffed. Omg so amazing. Ask for them when you get a martini. Moving on the food is always superb and well flavored. The drinks are amazing and never too strong or too weak like the perfect blend. Ambiance is ALWAYS beautiful. Sundays can have a live band but even if they don't have a band it's still an amazing experience on the water, can be great for date night, girls night or guys night. I have never been here and had a bad experience. Can't wait to come back!

Came in with my wife with no reservation even though it seems very busy for the restaurant the hostess up front was absolutely nice and kind to us with no hesitation she took us herself and gave us beautiful table along the water after she shows us the inside dinning and the outdoors patio since we mentioned we never been here before not in many places they will have the patience she did. Our Waiter Treg was fantastic! had a lot acknowledged with the menu exceptional service. kindly appreciate the hostess again for always stopping by and checking how we were doing thank you Diana for your work tonight you made our night fabulous!! definitely will come back again.

We walked past this restaurant while walking down Embarcadero and were intrigued since it looked nice and had a beautiful view! We made a reservation for a week later to sit outside for the bay bridge / water view. When we got there, it turned out to be a super foggy evening and it was misting so we asked to be seated inside instead. They were very accommodating and got us a nice, cozy table upstairs. It was a bummer to not dine with the view but the ambiance was still nice and it was pleasant to stay indoors! We started with bread and butter -- it was from acme and was fresh and warm, which was a great start to the meal. I also got the make it pink drink and it was so smooth and tasted like candy, would definitely get this again For sides we got the truffle mac n cheese and French fries (asked for aioli on the side), which were both enjoyable. For mains we both got a filet mignon and my favorite part of ordering this was all of the sauce/seasoning options that came with it -- chimichurri, steak sauce, two types of sea salt, and pepper Overall had a pretty good experience coming here and the service was good!
